Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using Solus ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to all terms, you may not access or use the Service. These terms apply to all users, including visitors, registered users, and contributors.
Description of Service
Solus is a financial companion that helps individuals, groups, and businesses manage expenses, budgets, and payments. The Service includes mobile and web applications, messaging integrations (WhatsApp, iMessage, SMS, Slack, Teams), and related APIs. Solus is currently in pre-launch / waitlist phase. Features described may change prior to and after launch.
Accounts & Registration
To use certain features, you must create an account with accurate, complete information. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activities under your account. You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use. You must be at least 16 years old to use the Service.
Acceptable Use
You agree not to: use the Service for any unlawful purpose; attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service; interfere with or disrupt the Service or servers; transmit malicious code, spam, or fraudulent content; reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Service; or impersonate any person or entity.
Intellectual Property
All content, features, and functionality of the Service — including text, graphics, logos, icons, and software — are the exclusive property of Solus and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without our prior written consent.
Financial Disclaimer
Solus is not a bank, financial advisor, or licensed financial institution. The Service is provided for informational and organizational purposes only. Solus does not provide investment, tax, legal, or financial advice. You are solely responsible for your financial decisions. We do not guarantee the accuracy of any calculations or in-app suggestions.
Data & Privacy
Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy. By using Solus, you consent to the collection and use of information as described therein. We are committed to protecting your data with end-to-end encryption and zero data retention for message content.
Pricing & Payments
Solus offers free and paid tiers. Paid subscriptions are billed on a recurring basis. You may cancel at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days' notice. Refunds are provided at our discretion.
Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Solus and its officers, directors, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
Termination
We may suspend or terminate your account at any time, with or without cause, with or without notice. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination shall survive, including intellectual property, disclaimers, and limitations of liability.
Changes to Terms
We may revise these terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated via email or a prominent notice on the Service. Your continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
Governing Law
These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Province of Alberta, Canada, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Edmonton, Alberta.
